She also reported that it would not be possible to undertake the readings in the summer because her recommendations will culminate in a report to the Committee in February. She had, however, offered to prepare a draft proposal for re-consideration and the Clerk was requested to ask her to proceed with this. 101.17 2:1 White Lines: Watts Green/Church Street: Cllr Twigg to advise. 101.17 1) Website: Cllr Sidery is in liaison with Jade van Konijnenburg 57.17 3) Sheepwash Bridge and Footpaths: Phil Riley is undertaking this work. 69.17 6) Seat: Hall Orchard: Ongoing 69.17 1) Christmas Tree and Base for Christmas Tree: It was noted that the Christmas tree had been much admired and appreciated by residents and visitors alike. The invoice is still awaited from Chatsworth and will amount to £250.00 + VAT. The Clerk was instructed to pay this invoice on receipt rather than waiting for the January meeting. 93.17 2) Repairs to Car Park Boundary Wall (Hall Orchard): Ongoing. 116.17 1) Quotations for Grass Mowing 2018/19: Phil Riley had submitted a quotation for 2018/19 of £5,625.00 for 12 cuts. This was accepted. 116.17 3) Allotment: Cllr Sidery reported an interested resident, who will contact the Clerk for further details. 128.17 1) Email from John Morris re Ashford Flood Plan: House now purchased. 128.17 2) Email from Christopher Harrison photos for website: The Clerk was requested to contact Christopher stating that the parish council would be interested in photos and will contact him in due course. 105.17 1) Sports Equipment for Hall Orchard: An email from Fresh Air Fitness outlining their products had been circulated to all parish councillors for consideration. 140.17 1) Burial Plot for Mr Terence Vernon Lockwood: The parish council granted permission for purchase of the burial plot for interment of Mr Lockwood’s ashes as requested, but emphasised that the burial ground rules and regulations would apply to any further interments requested for this plot. 141.17 Items reported by Members: 141.17 1) Tree and hedge at Old Baslow Road: The Clerk was instructed to ask DCC to inspect the sycamore tree adjacent to Old Baslow Road/New Road as it is showing signs of rot at the base and is quite close to adjacent properties. The Clerk was also instructed to ask Phil Riley for a quotation for cutting the hedge after Christmas. 141.17 2) Commemoration of Armistice Day 2018: It was agreed that an agenda item would be included in January regarding suggestions to commemorate Armistice Day in 2018. 142.17 Planning Matters: None 143.17 Financial Matters Bank Balances Noted: 1) Business Reserve Account: £16,487.89Current Account: £250.00
