  1. a) Village Sweep: Cllr Twigg agreed to arrange a sweep on Vicarage Lane in particular.
  2. b) Street Lights: Cllr Twigg agreed to investigate.
  3. c) Hedge on A6: Cllr Twigg agreed to take necessary action.
  4. d) Ashford Sign: Cllr Twigg agreed to arrange for this to be cleaned.

Cllr Twigg departed at 7.45 pm and was thanked for her attendance.115.18             Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held 11th October 2018: The minutes were proposed by Cllr Sidery as a true record, seconded by Cllr Williams and signed by the Chairman.116.18             Confidentiality: None117.18             Items reported by the Clerk: 92.17 1)           Public Conveniences: 

  1. a) Transfer of Title and Funding Agreement documents: The documents had been received from the Solicitor and were duly signed ready for return to the Solicitor.

105.17 1)         Sports Equipment for Hall Orchard: Ongoing 57.18 2)           Parish Council Insurance Renewal and Flood Trailer: A quotation amounting to £169.89 for the additional insurance cover had been received from BHIB.  This was approved and agreed. The Clerk had also reported the recent theft of the flood trailer and its contents and the claim is ongoing.81.18 1)           Email from Mr Christopher Harrison re state of bin on Sheepwash Bridge: The Clerk was requested to contact Cllr Froggatt regarding a timescale for the replacement of this bin.82.18 1)           Repairs to Playground Equipment: A quotation of £3,500.00 had been received from Enviroplay for the required maintenance work.  The parish council considered this to be excessive and instructed the Clerk to contact Enviroplay and ask them to review their quotation, requesting that the figure be reduced to £3,000.00.93.18 4)           Christmas Trees: Cllr Spinks reported that the Christmas trees will be arriving on 28th November and will be erected on 2nd December.105.18 1)         Quotations for grass mowing 2019/20: Two quotations had been received: one from P Riley Groundcare for £5,850.00 and one from W Brindley Grounds Maintenance for £5,460.00.  The parish council agreed to accept the quotation from P Riley Groundcare, who had carried out the work to a very high standard in 2018.105.18 2)         Information Board – Sheepwash Bridge: A response is still awaited from the Peak Park Authority.106.18 1)         State of Maintained Grass Area at Highfields following Gas Main Work by CADENT: The Clerk had contacted CADENT with a request to re-instate the grassed area which had been used as a storage area during the recent gas repair works.  This work has now been completed.117.18 1)         Blue Plastic Clay Bags on Sheepwash Bridge: Cllr Windle reported that he had spoken to Mr John Foster, who had agreed to arrange for removal of the bags.117.18 2)         Parish Council Elections – 2nd May 2019: An email had been received from DDDC detailing the cost of the 2019 parish council elections, which will need to be included in the proposed parish council precept for 2019/20.117.18 3)         Interment of Ashes of Mr Daniel Bond: It was agreed that Mr Bond’s ashes could be interred in the existing grave in Ashford old cemetery.117.18 4)         Application for additional inscription on headstone – Mrs Freda Bond: Approved.117.18 5)         Report on Armistice Day Commemorations: It was reported that the recent Armistice Day commemorations had been very well attended and organised.117.18 6)         Rings left/lost in the conveniences: The Clerk had received a telephone call regarding a visitor to Ashford who had left 2 rings in the conveniences.  These had not been found and no information had been received regarding their whereabouts. 118.18             Items reported by Members: 118.18 1)         Nos. 22 & 23 Fennel Street:  The Clerk was instructed to write to the Occupier of these properties with the request that they remove their bins from the footpath as they represent a safety hazard.  At present, the bins from these properties remain permanently on the footpath. 119.18             Planning Matters: 1) Decision - NP/DDD/0818/0696: Greenfields Farm, Ashford Lane - variation of conditions 2 and 9 on NP/DDD/0317/0305: Granted 120.18             Financial Matters Bank Balances Noted:1)         Business Reserve Account:                                                           £22,423.29Current Account:                                                                               £250.002)  to approve payments of accounts:

 121.18          Correspondence: 121.18 1)         Letter of thanks from War Memorial Institute Committee for recent donation towards tree sculpture.121.18 2)         Garage in Watts Green: The Clerk was requested to write to Miss Ann Hughes regarding the possible lease of her garage to the parish council for storage of flood defence equipment, well dressing equipment etc.122.18             Date of Next Meeting: The next parish council meeting will be held on Thursday 20th December 2018 at 7.30 pm in Ashford School.
