Parish and Town Council Nominations

Dear Councillor/Parish Clerk,

The Electoral Commission has made some late clarifications to the Parish Council nomination pack.  These are minor and those forms already issued or downloaded are still valid.  If you would like use the latest version it is now available on our website at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/elections2019

We have received a number of queries regarding completion of the parish nomination forms and have, therefore, produced the attached form, which has been completed for a fictitious candidate.  We have highlighted the things that are different from previous elections and other points that we find are regularly completed incorrectly.  Parish Clerks may wish to circulate this document to their Members and any prospective candidates of whom they are aware.

We have reconsidered our arrangements for receipt of nominations and have changed the previously published “outreach” sessions at Ashbourne and Bakewell to enable us to provide an enhanced service and cover for the lunchtime period at those venues.

We will now be collecting Parish and Town Council nominations only at the following venues

Friday 22^nd March – Downstairs room at Ashbourne Town Hall – 10am – 4pm

Monday 25^th March – Meeting Room 1 at Agricultural Business Centre, Bakewell 10am – 4pm

Parish and District Nominations will be collected in the Reception Meeting Room, Town Hall, Matlock DE4 3NN on working days from 19March to 3 April between 10am and 4pm.

Appointments for delivery of nominations can be made by calling our helpline on 01629 761335 (on or after 19 March).
