MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
HELD ON WEDNESDAY 23rd JULY 2015 IN ASHFORD SCHOOL

75.15 Minutes of Parish Council Meeting held 3rd June 2015: The minutes were proposed by Cllr Taft as a true record, seconded by Cllr Sidery and signed by the Chairman.

77.15 Items reported by the Clerk:
114.13 Automatic External Defibrillators: Great concern was expressed by the parish council regarding the recent incident relating to the difficulty in accessing the defibrillator code. The Clerk was requested to contact Mr Wright to inform him that this incident will be investigated by the parish council. The Clerk was also requested to write to the Ambulance Service, the CHT Trust and Patrick McLoughlin and to liaise with Dr Mundy.
31.15 1) Insurance Policy: A list of items had been compiled by the Chairman for inclusion in the policy and the insurance company had requested valuations for these items. The Clerk will investigate this.
110.14 2) Damaged Antique Lamp Post: Cllr Taft reported that his discussions with DCC are ongoing, but agreement had been reached whereby only the lamp post head will require to be replaced.
32.15 6) Repair of Playground Equipment: The Chairman reported that the roundabout is working satisfactorily at present.
32.15 9) Parish Council Website: Suitable contacts are being sought with a view to upgrading the existing website.
42.15 1) Playground Inspection: It was agreed to contact the company which had provided a quotation of £85.
56.15 2) Public Space Protection Order: It was agreed that a site meeting would be arranged to decide on the location of the dog exclusion and dogs on leads signs in the Hall Orchard.
67.15 1) Band Concert 2016: It was agreed that Matlock Band would be approached to undertake the Band Concert on 5th June 2016 from 2.00 to 4.00 pm.
67.15 2) Notice Board: A quotation of £120 had been received from Mr Barrie Marsden for repair of the notice board. This was approved by the parish council and Mr Marsden will be asked to proceed with the work.
77.15 1) Register of Burials: The Clerk reported that the Register of Burials book is almost full and that the cost of replacement is approximately £40. This expenditure was agreed by the parish council.

78.15 1) Gate to Sheepwash Pen: It was agreed that Mr John Carrington would be asked to provide a quotation for repair. Cllr McGoverne agreed to approach Mr Carrington.
