Give and Take Toolkit

A toolkit has been put together by Derbyshire County Council to help local organisations and groups run their own Give and Take day where people can give away good quality things they don’t want or need anymore and pick up something they do – all for free.

The toolkit is ideal if you run a community or voluntary group, or even if you just wanted to gather together a few friends for an afternoon. It includes tips on running a successful event, help with publicity and advice about donations and recruiting volunteers.

Holding a Give and Take day is a great way to meet new people, save money and prevent perfectly good items getting thrown away.
